Science & Management

The Stanford Conservation Program is responsible for listed species protection, promotion of local biodiversity, maintenance of ecosystems services and support of university operations, and land use planning on Stanford’s nearly 8200 acres. We combine the best available science, adaptive management, and our own research to support all dimensions of our work.  As a part of the university administration, we collaborate both with Stanford affiliates and external researchers. The Conservation Program has sponsored and mentored a number of student projects, masters, and PhD theses.
